Kinsmen, Obas mourn T.B Joshua

Kinsmen of popular televangelist, Prophet TB Joshua in Arigidi Akoko Akoko Northwest local government area of Ondo State are in mournful mood over his demise.

Also, Obas in the entire Akokoland have expressed shock over his sudden death.

News about his death were said to have been broken to his kinsmen around 1am on Sunday.

Traditional ruler of Arigidi, HRH Yisa Olaniekun, told The Nation the entire community was still in disbelief over the news.

Olaniekun said people have been coming to his palace to confirm the news as well as make arrangements of travelling to Lagos State where he died.

He said several Obas across Akokoland have been calling him because of the goodwill late T.B Joshua extended to many sons and daughters of Akokoland.

According to him: “We are going to Lagos to know what really happened. It was a shocking news. I have not slept since 1am when I was informed about the death.

“We are very sad here in Arigidi and the entire Akokoland. Joshua was a good man to everybody. He has been helping everybody.”

On whether deceased sons of Arigidi are usually brought home for burial, Olanieku said T.B Joshua must be buried in Arigidi.

“We will bring him for burial. They must bring him here,” he said.

Chief Imam of Arigidi Akoko, Alhaji Salisu Musa, who is an uncle to late T.B Joshua, said the news of his demise was received on Saturday night.

Alhaji Musa said the preacher died without any prior sickness.
